Under festivalens 2 dagar kommer det att bjudas på 15 artister, gamla arkadspel, tv-spel och hemdatorer från 80-talet. Bitpop, chipmusik och lo-fi kan beskrivas som nostalgisk och nyskapande tv-spelsmusik. Dessa genrer har vuxit enormt de senaste åren och därför känner vi att det nu är dags för en riktig festival för bitpop och chipmusik, som komplement till alla klubbar som vuxit fram, t.ex. Syndikatets klubb En Fest i 8 BITAR.

Till säsongsavslutningen 9 maj har vi bjudit in de svenska mästarna GOTO80, Covox och Paza. Kvällens vj kommer från Holland och har vj'at i tio år på sina två Amiga. Som vanligt håller vi till på Kafé 44 och lör utan åldersgräns, men priset är sänkt till 60 spänn igen. Som alltid finns det skivförsäljning på plats, så se till att ta med den där extra hundralappen!

i am 8-bit aims to recapture the glory days of retro videogames. It all started with a group art show in 2005, enlisting hundreds of artists from around the world to remix their arcade and console memories.
Presented here is a version of that live art experience - the Donkey Kong-inspired art of many i am 8-bit regulars, much of which is available in i am 8-bit: Art Inspired by Classic Videogames of the 80s (Published by Chronicle Books); and the tunes of an elite lineup of micro-musicians, a unique set of performers whose instruments aren't what you'd expect. Instead of guitars and drums, they use game boys, commodore 64s, and a variety of other consoles to compose their tracks.

In the end of December 2007, The X-Dump triad, embodied by Matophonia, Paza Rahm and Psilodump, are heading east to the land of a thousand seas, Finland, to do some live show disaster action at a Microevent called Lisäelämä!
The party, where at also a Super Mario Kart Tournament will take place, is held at Gloria, Helsinki, Saturday, December 29th. DJ is Micromusic Turku HQ.

Lördag 24/11 bjuder sex av medlemmarna ur elektronika-kollektivet The X-Dump på en kavalkad av glitchiga beats, funkiga breaks och squeekiga bleeps. Medlemmarna har bland mycket annat remixat Kraftwerk, Beck och Slagsmålsklubben, och varit representerade på Europas största festival för micromusik, Data Airlines i Marseille, Frankrike. De har snart spelat i 15 olika länder och på tre kontinenter. Och nu ska de alltså slå sina påsar ihop och bjuda på en helkväll på Microdisko.
The X-Dump Electronica Collective is back with a banana. Might we unfavorably have proposed a banana? Of course we meant a distinct sort of luscious granadilla, for example. Although, some people might propone types of mephitic vertebrates. Preeminently the kettles of fish The X-Dump currently has on exhibition for our exquisite grandstand!
