Metronomnomnom [8BP114]

8bitpeoples / 8BP114

Hooray, the new year is tolerably new! Pianist and weatherman John Pohlman retires to play spiffy piano jazz and unremittingly listen to psilodump during his long-awaited vacation, tuned in with his venerable portable travel radio. After 30 years, Pacman finally finds a qualified metronome to aid him in his training towards eating pac-dot-nom's in unmitigated on-target sync with even the most adequate techno rave beats around. His iron determination is undisputed! As for Psilodump, the new year only heralds supplementary adventures beyond challenge!

The X-Dump: Ninjadisko [XD-NETC-003]

The X-Dump Electronica Collective is back with a banana. Might we unfavorably have proposed a banana? Of course we meant a distinct sort of luscious granadilla, for example. Although, some people might propone types of mephitic vertebrates. Preeminently the kettles of fish The X-Dump currently has on exhibition for our exquisite grandstand! Feel casual to gambol - there are plenteous fins and scales for every spectral relish of choise! NinjaDiskoNeat!!!

The X-Dump: The Droidbird Complement [XD-NETC-002]

Christmas is here again... Do real ninjas really celebrate Christmas for sure?! Lithis tries to forget all those laborious mean Mondays, Paza longs for those good old 90s Christmas-days, Matophonia gambols around in the kitchen, cooking some rutabaga casserole, Dorothy's Magic Bag snoops around in the opera in ambition to unshroud Kit Walker's secret cubbyhole, Anode has WAY too much work, as usual, and Psilodump dreams nightmares about his tame mechanical pelican being left all alone out in a harrowing blizzard!!! ;´( Will The X-Dumpians be getting any gifts??? Only Santa knows for sure!

Mutiny of the Robots [8BP068]

8bitpeoples / 8BP068

Make no mistake — the machines only appear lovable until they have you in their pincers. From quirky playful beats to refined vocal performances, psilodump hits hard in this most sonically lush of 8bitpeoples releases. With a diverse mixture of thick textures and lo-fi samples, Mutiny of the Robots is a diversion from naked chip music, but if it doesn't make you want to get naked anyway, you're probably a robot yourself.

Room With No Exit [CANDY028]

Now it’s time for yet another virtual 12″ vinyl, don’t you think? Well, irrespective of what you think, it IS time for another virtual 12″ vinyl. And this time it’s time for Psilodump, a very experienced musician who’ve been releasing his music on vinyl, CD and many other mediums, to do his debut in the virtual 12″-community.

“I think this is a big step for me and my musical carrier.” Psilodump says. “I like the virtual 12″- community a lot, many of my friends are virtutwelveinchers themselves, even my girlfriend is, so I’ve been feeling very frozen out not having any virtual 12″ on my discography. So this is a really important landmark for me.”

And it’s a landmark indeed!

The Night I Lost You All You All [CANDY017]

One morning when he wakes up something is just wrong. A weird feeling is going up and down his spine and he doesn’t really know what’s up or down. Something is haunting Psilodump. He packs his bag and sets out on a journey…

Now when he’s standing here, with the bag in one hand and his Dick Tracy novel in the other, prepared to travel far, he doesn’t know at all what awaits him…

And that may be good, because if he knew about all the ghouls, all the swamp eating pirates, all the golden zombies, would he then leave…?

1. BAK8
Lost in an abandoned town, inhabited by fearless walking dead, Psilodump is trying to get out of harms way but at the same time he wants to find out what has really happened here. Do not fasten your seatbelts, or you can be sure they’ll just fall of.

2. PIN
Psilodump is hearing a whisper from a place he has never been to before, but it is a place he still remembers. He hesitates for a moment, but then he continues right ahead…

3. FEIGN EMBRACE
At first it felt like the journey more and more turned into a fun trip, but Psilodump soon realizes that that’s nothing but a false impression, this was a, a… a feign embrace!

4. BITTEN
Psilodump enters the ghost-train-roller-coaster and must duck to avoid the swinging axes, a construction made with the purpose of cutting his head off. The ghosts is just laughing and Psilo is really wondering when this hell-trip will end.

5. RETHOUGHT7
Face to face with the final evil creation of madness, Psilodump is trying to find a way to battle this sinister beast. Then the voice is whispering in darkness again, with a voice so quite,: “Hit the eye Psilo, the eye!”

6. LOST AND
The beast is dead and Psilo is finding out the truth. But the truth is not always so pleasant…

7. ALDRIG IGEN
Tired and exhausted by the terrible adventure, Psilodump states that he never want this kind of stuff to happen again… Aldrig igen!

8. FEIGN EMBRACE (AYHAN AYDIN COMMUTERTRAIN REMIX)
At last when he thought everything was over and he is heading back home, Psilodump is accidentally embarking on another adventure of a lifetime!. Instead of taking the usual train he makes a serious mistake and boards the horrifying commuter-train…

To be continued…

lithis - Happy Pet Snail (psilodump Remix) [XD-NETS-005]

The X-Dump's digital netlabel returns with an unrestrainedly
fanciful new collection of minialbums after a few months vacation!

First out is the exasperatingly difficult yet fully delightful 7 track drama
based around terrestrial mollusks of the class Gastropoda, entitled
"Happy Pet Snail", adapted by our highly skilled 6.5 feet
snail-tentacle-ninja-apprentice Lithis from out of town!!!

Lithis explains carefully:
(freely quoted and coincidently modified by the paparazzi press)
"Happy families have been developed by the modularization of scientists
committed to making music for snails. Thus next-generation clubs can
profit from being digital (vintage) or the other one!"

In any commonly encountered natural manner we all ofcourse agree!

To aid him on his ninja quest Lithis has brought along the fellow X-Dumpians
Dorothy's Magic Bag and Psilodump to perform some fancy remix-tricks!!!

This mission cannot feasibly fail!
Hooray for Lithis and the snails!
Notes

All tracks written & produced by Lithis.
Track 6 remixed by Dorothy's Magic Bag.
Track 7 remixed by Psilodump.
Cover design by Emil Bardh.

Jag och Psilodump [mtk.mp3.155]

Straight from the mind of Swedish hellraiser Psilodump, who's released on super-smart labels such as 8bitpeoples and Micromusic, as well as being part of the rather smart X-Dump collective, 'Jag Och Psilodump' is a spectacularly eclectic 6-track EP which bounces all over the map, showcasing Psilodump's distinctly weird, distinctly different stylings.

Things start with 'Winds (Snabber Mix)', which is all hyper-fast drums and oddly burlesque melodies, before 'Omtanke7' cuts in, again with oddly indescribable, almost demo-scene styled melodies, before the almost junglist 'Jag Hatar Psilodump' hangs around, all vicious. It only gets better from there on out, ending in a military deconstruction of 'Winds' by fellow X-Dump colleague and former Monotonik releaser Dorothy's Magic Bag. Mommy, we're scared...

Sov Gott [CANDY013]

All kind of animals (cats, goats, dogs, beards) in the big fruity candy forests are coming to listen when bitter sweet super hero psilodump is guesting the realm of Candy Mind with his newest inventions psilodump is showing us all kind of crazy stuff; stuffed moles mutated with a potato in Trak2, alien cereals in Transport and a very dangerous killing machine filled with ice in Sitting very still.

It’s kind of a freak show, and everyone comes to the freak show, to laugh at the freaks and the geeks, everyone comes to the freak show, but nobody laughs when they leave…

Coming home from psilodumps crazy show is kind of hard, you know a lot of weird nightmares is waiting for you when you’ll go to sleep.
psilodump has just got one greeting: saying “sov gott!”.

1. TRAK2

Honouring his Mexican ancestors, psilodump is sending out his purple tentacles for catching more of the jelly stuff that he likes. And what ever you do: stay clear of the tentacles!!

2. YTA I

A surface is always a surface and will always be a surface, it’s what’s hiding under the surface that is the question. And what is hiding under psilodumps surface? You will never know for sure!

3. INSIDE THE TRANSPORT

When psilodump is in a really good mood after a gig he is always going straight into the transport, and is sitting there until next gig. It may sound a bit boring, but the transport is a very cool place with a lot of strange stuff in it. For example a magic cup.

4. YTA II

The exciting sequel of track number two on this release. Don’t miss it, or it will miss you!

5. SITTING VERY STILL

Since the other person is sitting very still, your brain emphasizes the information coming from the moving hand, and parts of the person’s face disappears… This is what’s happening to our psilodump.

Cryo & Checkpoint Charlie - Resources (psilodump Remix)

The long-awaited 'Resources', with nine remixes on the release, is here!
This time we wanted not only our own talented group of artists when it came to remixing the tune - we asked some of our favourite producers to do their version of 'Resources', and they accepted!
Respect to these established artists for supporting the netlabel idea!

The single kicks off with the hard hitting electro monster that is the original version. Cryo and Checkpoint Charlie certainly have found their own unique sound - and we love it!
Dedacia's italo-tech remake is as brilliant as his classic Bevlar single, 'Muscle Man'. Don't miss.
If you're into trance and progressive sounds you probably know UK producer Max Alien's work - and possibly Swedish top DJ Paulina Cewe too. We're extremely proud to present these two artists on our release! Download both mixes for some progressive tech vibes!
Swedish producer Psilodump is part of the X-Dump Collective. Check out his brilliant electro-breaks remix, featuring the most inventive vocal work in the package!
Also on the release: Minimal tech house grooves from Dumb Dan, a funky house remix by Dennis, a remix slightly different from the original by Cryo, and the Bevlar Remix Competition winner, Patrick Fridh.

The X-Dump: Filesystems [8BP048]

The X-Dump are no strangers to 8bitpeoples. Two of their most dangerous members, Paza and Psilodump, have already displayed their ancient and majestic chip-skills in a pair of chart-topping releases for us. But this is it! The first full-scale attack of The X-Dump ninja collective, striking right at our black heart! Out of a cold, cold land come Skruvmejsel, Lithis, Din Stalker, and Dorothy's Magic Bag, joining up with Paza and Psilodump to once again make their machines sing and show you who is really boss!
